After returning from Israel in 1996, I joined the airline industry as an Air Stewardess. One of the main advantages of working for an airline is, of course, the benefit of being able to purchase tickets to travel at a small percentage of the usual price.
I worked as Senior Cabin Crew for British Airways - City Flyer, flying European short haul routes. However, this work only played a minor part of my life in comparison to my dedication to and love for donkeys, and in late 2000 I left the airline, to follow my dedication full-time.
My goal has always been to establish a project in Israel to provide help and care for working and abandoned donkeys. Upon this basis, I have worked tirelessly to form SHADH - Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land, now a UK registered charity, and in the process of becoming registered in Israel as a foreign charity. I now live permanently in Israel as SHADH's Field Director, managing the establishment of the rescue centre and serving as the Public Relations figure.
To help me in this role, I have received training at the Donkey Sanctuary in Devon. I gained valuable hands on experience attending Stage 1 and 2 of the D.S. Training Courses and working with their highly qualified veterinary nurses and veterinarians.
