"Dear Friends
Since I set up Safe Haven seven years ago to reach out to the unwanted and abused donkeys of Israel and Palestine, I have been amazed and humbled by the generosity of everyone who has supported my work. Without your kindness there would simply be no way of helping these gentle and intelligent beasts of burden and that is why I hope you will help me now with this very special and urgent appeal to buy the farm that is our "peaceable donkey kingdom".
Our sanctuary is the fundamental reason for everything we do. Visiting the farm and standing among these gentle creatures one would never believe they had lived through such terrible abuse – each animal is visibly content and at peace. They are able to roam free in the little individual herds that they form in the sanctuary’s fields by day and are safely locked in their comfy barns at night. Please, please consider setting up a monthly standing order for just 18 months (the duration of the appeal) or, if you are unable to commit to this, making a single gift to the appeal so that I can make sure all the little donks continue to be safe from pain and fear.
With my heartfelt thanks for all your support of Safe Haven,
Yours sincerely

PS Please don't forget that this is a special appeal - we still desperately need funds to keep Safe Haven running so we hope that you will consider this an extra gift and continue to support our ongoing work in the months and years ahead." |
