Meet the UK team

We would like to introduce you to the wonderful team of Trustees and staff looking after the charity and making sure that there are enough funds for the team in Israel and the West Bank to carry out their work with donkeys in desperate need…

Our Board of Trustees is led by our Chair, Andy Foxcroft. Andy has worked in animal welfare for over 40 years, including 5 years at the Donkey Sanctuary in Devon, where he managed their worldwide operation.

Niall Duffy is Director of External Affairs at IPSO (Independent Press Standards Organisation) where he is responsible for their PR, public affairs, digital and communications work.

Jeremy Goodger also has a background in animal welfare and is now a businessman, owning two retail outlets in the Mid Sussex area.

After being a staunch supporter and volunteer fundraiser for Safe Haven for 15 years, George Russell became a Trustee in 2015. Although he has recently handed over the Chairmanship to Andy, he is still a very active member of the Board.

Linda Rimington has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry and is a National Council Member for the RSPCA. Like George, Linda became a Trustee in 2015.

Those are our Trustees, now we will introduce our new Chief Executive, Tim Wass MBE. After leaving the RAF, Tim spent 28 years working for the RSPCA, where he was responsible for 600 Inspectors, Animal Welfare Officers and Collection Officers. He was awarded his MBE for services to animal health and welfare. Tim divides his time between Israel where he oversees the work of the sanctuary and veterinary clinics and the UK where he helps with vital fundraising and publicity.

Of course, we also have Wendy and Melanie in the UK office – between them, they have 20 years of service to Safe Haven and are devoted to the donkeys.

We are also delighted to announce that Lindsay Morgan has joined us to help with public relations and fundraising for our amazing donkeys. Lindsay was one of the founding directors of BMA Communications (bought in 2006 by the Loewy Group). Started in 1989, BMA Communications became one of the top 15 FMCG public relations companies in the UK, running award-winning campaigns for an enviable portfolio of food, drink, beauty, health and pharmaceutical clients. Lindsay is currently Managing Director of Lindsay Morgan PR Limited, founded in April 2011.
