Anisa was originally purchased by an Arab man called Khaled living in Tayibe who cared for her very much. She was pregnant when she came to Khaled and later gave birth to a foal. However, problems with his neighbours which tragically led to the death of the foal meant that Khaled was scared for Anisa's safety and asked Lucy to take the little donkey in.
