Olivia was found by the head of security at nearby moshav Hanniel.  Initially he wanted to keep the little donkey but it soon became clear that Olivia was extremely ill and he asked Lucy to take her to the sanctuary, where the vet found she was suffering from colic and suspected pneumonia.  As soon as Olivia was unloaded from the trailer, Lucy's son's little puppy rushed up to her and started licking the donkey - the two have been virtually inseperable ever since.
