RUN SANTA, RUN!
FROM LAPLAND TO LONDON – SKYLINE AND Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land BRING THOUSANDS OF FATHER CHRISTMAS’S TO THE CAPITAL IN THE ANNUAL CHARITY SANTA RUN
Taking place on Sunday 6th December, the fun run is set to bring a flash of red and Christmas cheer to Victoria Park, London, as Santa’s from up and down the country tackle the 5km and 10km courses.
Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land saves the lives of unwanted, abused and overworked donkeys in Israel and Palestine which would otherwise be dumped at the roadside and left to die. Its sanctuary near the Israeli town of Netanya is currently home to over 200 abandoned donkeys and the charity is reaching out to hundreds more in desperate need every week through a series of free veterinary clinics in towns and villages on both sides of the Palestinian border. The money raised from this years Santa Run will go towards our daily work at our sanctuary and outreach projects.
Skyline and Do It For Charity co-founder Dominic Carolan said: “In its seventh year, the annual Do It For Charity Santa Run has to date, helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity. As 5km and 10km fun runs, anybody can join in and complete the course whilst doing something invaluable for a great number of fantastic causes. So many UK charities depend solely on the fundraising efforts of the public and there’s no better time to give than at Christmas.”
Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land Sarah Webster added: “What a fun thing to do at Christmas”
