Which donkey are you going to adopt?

Give Burnie the care he needs
About Burnie
Born: 2003
Location: Immaten
Burnie was found abandoned and covered in horrific burns after he was set alight for straying onto someone’s land. We named him Burnie so that no one will ever forget what happened to him.
Our vet treated him straight away. It is unlikely he would have survived without our quick intervention made possible by kind supporters like you. His wounds are much improved now, but large parts of his belly and back still need ointment every day.
Burnie loves his home at our sanctuary. He feels safe and happy with so many donkey and human friends, and everybody spoils him, just as he deserves. Adopt Burnie and help us keep be there for other donkeys in need.
Thank you for caring about Burnie 🧡

Give Lily the love she deserves
About Lily
Born: 2001
Location: Jisr Azarka
Lily was abandoned on a rubbish tip, badly abused, with her ears chopped off. We will never know who did it or why.
She had every reason never to trust anyone again. But at our sanctuary, trust has finally returned.
Lily is gorgeous and adored by everyone who meets her. She has 200 other rescued donkey friends and, most importantly, she feels safe.
Rescues like Lily’s are only possible thanks to your support. Adopt Lily and help us keep giving her the care and love she needs.
Thank you for caring about Lily 🧡

How your donkey adoption is helping
We’re not just a donkey adoption charity. Here at Safe Haven for Donkeys we care for around 180 abandoned, injured and traumatised donkeys in our sanctuaries in Israel and the West Bank. Sanctuaries where discarded donkeys can live a life full of love and care they so much need. With your help, we can also provide free veterinary care to working donkeys, mules and horses in towns and villages across the West Bank and Gaza, as well as Egypt.
We are the only charity dedicated to the welfare of working donkeys in the West Bank and Gaza. We can only bring this much-needed help with your donations and donkey adoptions.
