When we rescued Deborah she was exhausted and heavily pregnant. But we took her to our Sanctuary where she received the care she desperately needed.
Then she gave birth to a beautiful foal who we named Gervais. Little Gervais spends her days close to mum, growing stronger and more confident with every passing week.
But rescue donkeys like Gervais and Deborah still need ongoing care. Food, shelter, and veterinary treatment are only possible because our donors choose to help.
For just £3 a month or £36 a year, you’ll give donkeys the love and care they need.
By adopting Gervais, you’ll help provide:

- veterinary treatment when needed

- ongoing rescue and rehabilitation for other donkeys in need

How your donkey adoption will help
We’re not just a donkey adoption charity. Here at Safe Haven for Donkeys we care for over 220 abandoned, injured and traumatised donkeys in our sanctuaries in Israel and the West Bank. Sanctuaries where discarded donkeys can live a life full of love and care they so much need. With your help, we can also provide free veterinary care to working donkeys, mules and horses in the West Bank and Gaza, as Egypt.
We are the only charity dedicated to the welfare of working donkeys in the West Bank and Gaza. We can only bring this much-needed help with your support.
