This Christmas, will you help us build a new surgical room in the West Bank?
Please help fund the West Bank vet teams and a surgical space in Nablus – and save more donkeys’ lives.
Our three mobile veterinary teams in the West Bank now cover a huge expanse of territory, bringing pain relief and life-saving treatment to donkeys and horses suffering a range of illnesses and injuries. The teams undertake surgery wherever it’s needed, whether on the side of the road or in a busy market.
Dr Rakan recently operated on a two-month-old foal, whose cheek had been pierced with a metal object, causing unimaginable pain and preventing the young animal from swallowing her mother’s milk. Dr Rakan’s on-site surgery saved the animal’s life, after which it was brought back to Nablus to fully recover.
Will you help our vets treat donkeys in the West Bank and establish a vital surgical room in Nablus?
While Dr Rakan and our other West Bank vets are skilled at performing surgery on the road, there is always the risk of dusty and dirty conditions leading to infection. That’s why we also desperately need to fund a simple surgical room at our centre in Nablus, which would help Dr Rakan undertake more complex operations in a safe, clean environment. The space will include a preparatory area where the animal can be safely anaesthetised.
We desperately need your help to keep the mobile vet teams on the road, and fund this new surgical space. With both, we can continue to save working donkeys’ and horses’ lives. Thank you.
Your donations will help us to fund our mobile vet teams in the West Bank and to fund a new surgical room at our Nablus hospital. If we raise more money than we need, you will help us to care for the donkeys at our Sanctuary in Israel and our Rescue Centre in the West Bank, as well as run our other mobile vet clinics in Gaza and Egypt. Thank you.
