Cynthia came from the village of Izza Tabib near Qalqilya. Local vet Dr Jayoussi got a call from her owner saying she was dehydrated – when he got there and saw her, he said that she must go to our Qalqilya clinic.  He asked head vet Dr Jaber to check her and when Jaber saw the eye he said it must be removed as it was hugely swollen and infected from what he believed must be from some sort of impact.  Jaber successfully removed the eye and Cynthia, whose owner no longer wanted her, came to the sanctuary.
