Salma was found in June 2015 in a forest near the Palestinian city of Qalqilya. The vet thinks she was about 3 years old at the time and she was in a bad way with a huge wound on her back which had formed an abscess but this soon healed with some loving care. Now, she is a healthy happy donkey.
