Will you help our West Bank vet teams continue to deliver life-saving treatment?
With your support, our mobile teams in the West Bank can overcome huge challenges to deliver their life-saving care.
Our three veterinary teams in the West Bank led by Dr Rakan, Dr Omran and Dr Eyad work tirelessly to deliver critical treatment to working donkeys and horses. But right now, they’re facing the toughest of challenges.
There are now over 700 roadblocks and checkpoints in place in the West Bank, drastically restricting their progress. To make matters worse, fuel has soared in price, making every journey prohibitively expensive. At the same time, there’s a shortage of medicine, driving the cost of essentials like painkillers, antibiotics and vaccinations up
Meanwhile, owners are relying on their animals more than ever to transport goods – resulting in painful harness wounds, malnutrition and dehydration. It’s a disastrous combination of factors – but with your support, we can reach donkeys, mules and horses in desperate need of treatment.
No donkey should suffer. So please, send a gift today, and help us ensure we have the fuel and medicine needed to treat every working animal.
If we raise more money than we need we will put your money to work helping our other mobile vet teams in Egypt and Gaza, as well as caring for donkeys at our sanctuaries in Israel and the West Bank.
Thank you.
Here at Safe Haven for Donkeys, around 180 abandoned and traumatised donkeys have found refuge at our sanctuary in Israel, living the life of care they so much need. We also provide free veterinary treatment to thousands of working animals across the West Bank through mobile clinics and a rescue centre, while offering vital education to owners to change attitudes long-term. Recently, our reach has expanded to help suffering donkeys in Egypt’s brick kilns and those in urgent need in Gaza.
We are the only organisation dedicated to the welfare of working and abandoned donkeys in Israel and the West Bank and have been here for the donkeys for the past 20 years.
We can only bring this much needed help with your help and kind donations.
