Thank you so much for your continued support of our work helping donkeys across the Middle East.
Because of your kindness, donkeys who have suffered neglect, abuse and hardship can receive the care and attention they deserve. Today, we’re bringing you an update from our rescue centre in Arrana, over in the West Bank, where regular health checks help ensure every donkey continues to thrive.
We hope you’ll enjoy seeing how your support is making a difference.

Update from Arrana in the West Bank
Arrana is home to 34 donkeys who have been rescued from difficult situations, including neglect and abuse. Under the care of Mahmoud and the team, they now have a safe place to recover, receive ongoing care and enjoy the peaceful life they deserve.

Everyone is patiently waiting for Dr Rakan’s visit.
The donkeys are always pleased to see Dr Rakan and Wael when they visit. During their latest trip to Arrana, they spent time checking on every donkey in the herd, making sure each animal was healthy and receiving the care they needed.

Dr Rakan and Wael carry out regular health checks to keep every donkey at Arrana happy and healthy.
As part of the visit, the team carried out general health checks and trimmed hooves to keep the donkeys walking comfortably. They also checked names and identification numbers and fitted new head collars where needed, helping ensure every donkey can be easily identified and cared for.

Little Meme is keen to be front of the queue for carrots.
Of course, no visit from Dr Rakan would be complete without a few treats. This time, he arrived with plenty of carrots, much to the donkeys’ delight. These regular visits help ensure every animal at Arrana receives individual attention, while giving the donkeys time with Dr Rakan, which they clearly enjoy!

Dr Rakan is suddenly very popular!
Thank you ♥️♥️
Your support helps us fund our vet teams in Gaza, the West Bank, and Egypt, bringing vital veterinary treatment directly to working donkeys, mules and horses in desperate need. You are also caring for rescue donkeys at our sanctuaries in Israel and the West Bank, where they receive nutritious food, specialist care, and the safety of a forever home.
Thank you for caring for these gentle animals.

Salam, Meme and Morris are just three of the rescue donkeys in our care – all thanks to your support. Thank you.
