One of our donkey family, Marco Polo, was rushed to the vet yesterday with severe colic. Colic is abdominal pain and can be caused by a number of things – in Marco Polo’s case, after a number of tests the vet diagnosed impacted fecal matter which needed an emergency operation to remove. Without this operation, Marco Polo would have died.
