Hamish was about 2 years old when he came to us on 2nd April 2015 from a local village where he was being beaten by a gang of youths.

Sami, who we think was born in about 2008, was found as a stray wandering the streets of Nablus on 20th December 2017. He had obviously been neglected and had a cataract in one eye.
Sydney, who we think was born in about 2006, was found on 11 November 2017 as a stray wandering the streets of Nablus. He had a cataract in one eye and a wound on his back where he had been hit with what our team think was an axe.
At the end of December 2018, Safe Haven’s team received a call about two donkeys at a petting zoo which were looking quite neglected. On visiting, we found that the donkeys were quite thin and had horrendously overgrown hooves and bad teeth. The manager of the zoo agreed to surrender them to Safe Haven and

Major was about 6 when he was rescued from the Palestinian city of Nablus as a stray and brought to our clinic in the city on 21 August 2017.
Alfie was about 4 when he was brought to our sanctuary on 13 September 2017 by a lady who had discovered him wandering as a stray near the town of Kufur Qasem, an Israeli Arab town near the Israel/West Bank border, weak and covered in wounds.
Hope was born at the rescue centre on 23rd December 2017. Sadly her mother Rita passed away in 2018 but Hope is still with us, her name symbolising all that Safe Haven stands for.
Hurricane, named in honour of the iconic aircraft, was about 5 years old when he came to our sanctuary in 2018 as a stray.
