Little Widdy (named after Safe Haven’s wonderful patron Ann Widdecombe) was born at our clinic in the Palestinian city of Nablus on 29 September 2015. His mother, Maria, had been brought to the clinic earlier in 2015 with her son Carlos – both were strays.
Carlos was found on 5 February 2015 with his mother Maria as a stray in an Israeli settlement near the Palestinian city of Al Ram. He was taken to our clinic in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya and will later be moved to the sanctuary.
Chick, who is named after the husband of one of our supporters and who we think was born in early 2015, was found as a stray in the Palestinian town of Jbara in June 2016. He spent some time at our rest station in the town and from there was eventually transported to the sanctuary.
Desmond was brought to our clinic in the Palestinian city of Nablus on 1 October 2015 when he was just a little foal. From Nablus he has been moved to our other clinic at Qalqilya and will be transported to the sanctuary in due course.
Jane, who we believe to have been born in around 2010, came to the sanctuary in July 2015 with Gilbert, Pierre and Sarah. A person living near Rehovot had rescued the 4 donkeys some time before but was concerned for their safety as someone had tried to steal them from him.

Harry was around 8 months old when he was brought to our clinic in the Palestinian city of Nablus in May 2016. He is currently staying at the clinic and will be transported to the sanctuary in due course.
Jenga was around 3 years old when he was found as a stray in the Palestinian city of Qalqilya and brought to our clinic there. At the time he had wounds to his ears and legs but these have long since healed. He will stay at the clinic for now and will be transported to
Lukman came to us in February 2015 – he was just a little foal and had been found by the side of the road by one of Safe Haven’s staff.
