News from our mobile vet teams in the West Bank
You may remember the donkeys shown below – Dr Rakan visited the foal and its mother back in June. The foal has grown so much. You can see some photos below from all of our mobile teams in the West Bank.
Dr Rakan visited the Balata refugee camp earlier this week, located 10km outside of Nablus. There he was able to see a foal that you may remember from June this year. The cute foal has grown quite a lot but clearly remembers Dr Rakan!
Dr Rakan was also able to help the other donkeys at the refugee camp too.
Our Tubas team headed up by Dr Omran have also been carrying out mobile clinics – below you can see a photo from their visit to Las Al Ahmar, where they treated 10 animals.
While Dr Eyed and Ahmad provided veterinary care to 15 animals in a village called Wadi Al Samn. Here they are fitting a soft cover over the chain harness on a donkey.
Thank you so much for all your support – it’s only with your help our three mobile vet teams are able to provide veterinary care to so many animals across the West Bank.
News from the Sanctuary
Over at our Sanctuary in Israel, Ali and Moussa are busy giving out carrots! A big thank you to everyone who supported our Carrots for Christmas fundraiser on Facebook. The donkeys were very happy – including young Be’eri.
As well as carrots, Be’eri also enjoys a nice chin rub. If you look closely, we think he’s smiling.
Our newest staff member at the Sanctuary, Eyad, also helped to hand out the snacks – here he is with Nader and Hope.
If you’d like to send our donkeys some Carrots for Christmas just click here and make a donkey very happy.
Would you like to send someone a very Be’eri Christmas?
And there’s still time to adopt Be’eri for Christmas! It costs £36 (or £3 a month) and if you live in the UK, you can receive an adoption pack through the post (including a cuddly donkey) before Christmas if you order by 18th December.
If you live overseas, or want to send a last minute gift, just select our new Digital Adoption and we’ll send you a photo, ID card and certificate by email. That’s Christmas all wrapped up!
