Due to the ongoing political unrest in the Nablus area, the animal market has been closed. This is where Dr Rakan and his team treat animals in need. Instead, the team have been holding clinics at the Rescue Centre, but they were also invited to a local dog sanctuary, where the owner also has a few donkeys.:
Dr Rakan and Wael were able to provide tooth rasping, deworming and vitamins, along with hoof trimming. Dr Rakan also advised the owner on a feeding programme as the animals are very skinny.
Moussa and Ali can be seen here treating the donkeys at the Sanctuary with oral dewormer. We’re not sure what it tastes like but the donkeys look like they’re enjoying it!
