A young boy called Murcaz had found Faith as a stray but could not afford to feed her so asked for her to be taken to the sanctuary.
Robert
Found as a stray in a small settlement close to Jisr Azarka, from where he had apparently fled, probably to escape a life of abuse.
Dawdle
Dawdle had been rescued by a man who cared for her but could no long keep her and so she was given into SHADH’s care.
Burnie
Burnie endured one of the most traumatic experiences when a young boy set him alight in 2007. Large parts of his belly and back were painfully burnt and he still needs ointment today .
Murphy
Murphy had been so badly beaten with an electric cable that he had lost an eye. He’s now cared for and loved at the Sanctuary with all the other donkeys you help us to support.
Itamar
Itamar was found on a beach by the guard at the car park barrier who asked us to take him in.
