Talga (Arabic for “Snowflake”) was born at the sanctuary at the end of December 2012 to Zahra, who was already pregnant when she came to the sanctuary.
Little Truffle was abandoned outside our Nablus clinic at just a few weeks old, probably because her owner felt she was “hindering the mother donkey from working”. She is now best friends with Helen, another little donkey rescued at the same time.

Little Alby was brought to Safe Haven with torn, wounded and broken ears. His owner didn’t want him any more and allowed him to come to the sanctuary where we now give him a loving home.
Raymondo Reeves, named after the uncle of a past member of staff, was around four months old when he came to the sanctuary from Qalqilya. He lived in Qalqilya and was taken in to our rest haven there with wounds to each side of his neck. His owner alleged that his mother ‘didn’t want him’
Dear old Wilfred was brought to the Qalqilya Rest Haven because he was shaking all over and seemed to want to lay down all the time.
